    New Year, New Business

    With Christmas finally behind us and New Year on the way I decided to start one of my resolutions early.  New Year, new mind-set and new business.  I can’t look back at the wasted years following the path of someone else because I thought it was the right thing at the time and dwell on it.  That too, is a waste.   Those days are gone and my husband and I are trying to pave the way with a new fitness site, writing and competing.

    The website will be for anyone and everyone who wants to change their life one dumbbell curl at a time.lol  We are hoping to have the site up no later than January 15, 2011 and after that it’s on like Donkey Kong.

    The business cards are in hand and now it’s time to create some sort of legacy…well, that sounds cliched.lol  Let’s just say it’s time to start something great.

    Christmas Eve 2010

    This is it!!! It’s here!!! Christmas is here!!! It is by far the biggest day of the year for children who celebrate the holiday and my kids couldn’t be more excited.  We spent the day doing last-minute errands so we could rush home to clean the house and finish baking cookies for the jolly-fat-man…actually, for the powerlifting Santa of our family.

    As I yell to my husband Josh “What type of cookies do you think Santa wants,” my daughter answers “The same ones as last year.”  So with that answer I run to the fridge for the Pillsbury sugar cookies (I’m a baker but not from scratch.lol) and roll it out on the pan.  Jaden helped me  put sprinkles atop the dough and into the oven it went.

    After what seemed like two minutes I yell to the family “The nose knows,” and get the crazy look from all. “The cookies are done.”  After the cookies cooled the kids had a couple and the rest are piled up on a 12″x12″ platter  for Santa Josh to eat.  The kids will be in bed shortly and Mr. and Mrs. Santa Josh will start the real work.

    Merry  Christmas Everyone!=)
