When Lisa M. White graduated from Georgia Southern University with a BA in English Literature she had hopes of being an editor for a fashion or sports magazine. She admits her two choices were different and as life would have it; Lisa found another career to excel in. Although she enjoyed her previous career Lisa has come full circle and began web writing ten years after graduating. Her writing topics are based on personal experiences.
Her knowledge of the fashion and beauty industry hails from years of travel and the love of a must have piece. While living in Japan she saw fashions that were unavailable in the U.S and learned to appreciate the traditional beauty of pale skin and fine silks.California introduced Lisa to infamous big hair, pegged pants and LA Gear sneakers. London represented itself as one of the fashion mecca’s with peep-toe platform shoes and bell bottoms; showing that these styles weren’t just for the 60′s and 70′s. It was here Lisa learned to hold on to her best pieces because fashion is cyclical. Moving to Atlanta was another first in fashion when it came to Urban Hip Hop styles mixed with posh accessories.
Since moving to the Windy City Lisa has become a freelance writer for Yahoo!Contributor Network (formerly known as Associated Content ) as a Featured Fitness & Exercise and Shopping & Fashion Contributor, as well as, a Featured Beauty Contributor.
